Gifts That Help Ease Stress
Stress is difficult for anyone, whether they have cancer or not. Aromatherapy products may help some people manage cancer-related symptoms. These scented products include pillows, eye masks, and even stuffed animals made with essential oils.
No studies on using aromatherapy in cancer patients have been published in peer-reviewed journals. Several clinical trials, though, have suggested that essential oils might help cancer patients deal with sleep, nausea, and anxiety.
People with cancer are often told to keep a positive attitude. It’s much easier to give this advice than to put it into practice.
There are no scientific studies that link positivity with improved survival for people with cancer. Research has shown, though, that stress can negatively impact cancer growth.
How To Give Breast Cancer Care Packages
As you assemble your care package, consider different ways to make the delivery special for your loved one. Here are some ideas:
- Present it all in one basket
- Include directions to open one present on chemo days
- Note that a present can be opened if she is having a particularly bad day
- Open one present leading up to surgery or open one present every day after surgery
- Give your package a theme like bucket of sunshine and coordinate all gifts to be yellow
- Individually label each gift with phrases like open when you need a hug, open when youve had a bad day, open when you want to smile, etc.
Best Gifts For Breast Cancer Patients
Breast Cancer Care packages that are useful and thoughtful. Helpful tools for women undergoing chemotherapy, radiation or mastectomy.
Our thoughtful gifts focus on the woman going through breast cancer treatment and her recovery since many breast cancer patients may not be ready to sport breast cancer awareness ribbons in the early stages of the diagnosis. It’s perfectly appropriate to send her something pink but don’t go too heavy on the trinkets and fund raiser items in the beginning. She may be going through surgery, so sending her items to keep her comfortable is appreciated. Check out our Wrapped In Love fleece wraps that provide stylish utility by allowing easy access to ports and personal care while minimizing the lifting of arms to get dressed.

The Camisole Project Is A Non
The The Camisole Project was founded over 9 years ago to help women in our community going through surgery for Breast Cancer.
For the first few years we provided these women with a free, comfortable post surgical camisole with drain pouches, a heart shaped pillow and a compassionate ear to listen to their fears and concerns.
As the years went on we expanded the Camisole Project to include a FREE Because.We.Care package with many helpful items in it to prepare these women for surgery.
Our partners in the community stepped forward to help us raise money each year so we could continue to offer this special package to women going through a devastating time in their lives.
We have been honoured and humbled to be able to work with our clients, our donors, our sponsors, our friends and our communities to donate this package to women across the GTA. We all want the same basic thing, for every woman to feel as comfortable as possible at this critical time.
Camisoles come in sizes ranging from XS-4X

Gifts That Show Support
Your friend may prefer not to receive gifts. If so, consider supporting a cancer charity in your friend’s name.
Most cancer research organizations, hospitals, and societies maintain charitable programs. You can make one-time or monthly gift. As a bonus, donations come with tax benefits.
This type of gift may require a little research. Look at the institute’s year-end financial report. It will tell you which areas of research it invests in.
It will also note how much of each dollar is spent on administrative costs. These costs are often called the “facilities and administrative rate” or F& A.
Look for organizations devoted to specific cancers. Examples include:
- LUNGevity for lung cancer survivors
- The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
If your friend has breast cancer, consider donating to an organization focused on finding a cure for metastatic breast cancer, such as METAvivor. Many organizations devote a large percentage of their bottom line to supporting people with cancer and looking for cures.

Gifts Of Warmth And Style
Thinning hair and chemotherapy-related hair loss can make cold weather uncomfortable. Some people with cancer prefer not to wear hats or wigs, but cold temperatures can change that.
Warm hats, scarves, and bandanas can help keep your friend covered up in style. Don’t focus on appearance, though. Let your friend know that head coverings are always optional.
Reasons You Need To Stop Stressing About Care Package For Breast Cancer Patient
For those who know me, you would understand what this blog post is about. I am a patient care package for a breast cancer patient that has been diagnosed. This blog post is for me. I have a lot of time to put into this blog post.
In recent weeks, a few of our employees have had the opportunity to help a patient with breast cancer. This patient had a life-threatening diagnosis, and for many of those of us who care about her, this was a very difficult time for her.
Breast cancer is the second most common cancer. It kills about 2,500 women every year. This blog post is for two of those women. They were both diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer, but had surgery to remove their cancerous cells, and then have been on the medical fast track. Now that they have finished their treatment, the doctors are giving the patient a chance to participate in an activity that we call a care package.
Each of the patients had their treatment completed. Now they are given a chance to participate in a program that we call a care package. This is a series of activities that we designed for them. Each activity has its own goal or goal. In this case, the goal is to reduce the womens anxiety and depression so they can participate in their normal everyday lives.

What a box full of love and blessings I received today from United Breast Cancer Foundation and Twisted Pink. Thank you for your love and generosity. My heart is full!
Teresa
Just wanted to thank you so very much for the box that arrived today. I was amazed and delighted by the fantastic variety and quality of the contents. Going through this journey has been difficult. There are so many ups and downs but receiving that gorgeous gift today was such a wonderful up!! I will be happily using all the treats you’ve sent and think of Twisted Pink and UBCF with gratitude each day.
Patrice
For a variety of reasons, I have struggled for the last several days, but the Box of Hope inspired me to get up, get showered and get ‘ready’ to face my day. The thought of trying out some ‘new to me’ cosmetic lines was so fantastically fun! And the socks! LOVE. THEM. I have been living with MBC for 3 years. My side effects and treatment strategy are keeping me stable for the time. Still, some days are harder than others emotionally and the box was just what I needed to remind myself I can keep going.

The Boxes Provide Both Practical And Emotional Support
We understand that every persons experience of breast cancer treatment is different, which is why littlelifts boxes are full of items carefully selected to provide people with practical support as well as mood-boosting goodies to promote emotional wellbeing but it isnt just whats inside the box that provides support. We really love getting feedback and box recipients tell us that the sense of solidarity and kindness they experience is equally valuable and right now, kindness matters.
Our boxes are full of carefully-curated items , all chosen to help relieve side effects such as:
- A water bottle, herbal tea and cordial, because it is important to keep hydrated during treatment.
- Natural moisturiser to calm sensitive skin.
- Luxurious organic chocolates because everyone deserves a treat during treatment.
- A heated eye mask to aid sleep and relaxation.
- Lolly recipe cards and moulds to help with lack of taste and a sore mouth which can be caused by chemotherapy.
- A notebook and pen, which are useful to note down thoughts and questions to ask the medical team.
People who have received a littlelifts box say that it helps them feel more prepared for treatment and comforted knowing that someone understands what they are going through.

My Life Has Changed So Much Since I Was Diagnosed
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 and finished active treatment in 2015. Since then, a lot has happened!
I got married, I got a pooch called Norma, and I kayaked with orcas in the wild while on honeymoon in Canada – something I would often dream about doing when I was going through treatment. I also had a slight change in career.
At the end of 2016, I founded littlelifts: a charity supporting people affected by breast cancer.
Were on a mission to support people with a diagnosis by offering a littlelifts box during their chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment. Each box contains a collection of items that will hopefully provide practical support and comfort during treatment.
One of the ways we support people with breast cancer is by working directly with hospitals in East Anglia, where boxes are given out to patients during treatment planning or review meetings with their oncology, radiotherapy or breast care teams.
I want everyone who receives a box to feel supported, and for the box to let them know that theyre not alone.

Gift Card To Clothing Store
Your friends clothing size may have changed after going through cancer treatment. Purchase a gift card to the mall or their favorite clothing store to help them restock their wardrobe.
Even if their size didnt change, your friend might feel energized to try different styles after going through cancer treatment.
A Comfy Sweatshirt With A Built
Some people with breast cancer leave the hospital after surgery with surgical drains, which help prevent fluid from building up around incisions, according to The American Society of Breast Surgeons Foundation. A drain is made up of a rubber tube that is inserted into the patient’s incision and a squeezable bulb connected to it.
You can purchase short- and long-sleeve zip-up sweatshirts with concealed inner pockets to hold the drains. This ensures they won’t get caught on anything or accidentally tugged, which can seriously hurt.
